Our Commitment
What Responsible Gambling Means at go92
Responsible gambling means treating betting and casino gaming purely as entertainment — not as a way to make money, recover past losses or cope with stress. At go92, we believe that access to clear information is the single most effective safeguard a player can have.
Whether you are following a PSL match from Lahore, watching live cricket odds update during an ICC T20 at the Gaddafi Stadium, or exploring live dealer tables late at night from your mobile in Karachi — it is easy to lose track of time and spend more than you intended. go92 is here to help you recognise that moment before it becomes a problem.
We cover deposit limits, session time tools, self-exclusion options and the early warning signs of problem gambling — all in plain English, written specifically for players in Pakistan. If at any point gambling stops being fun, this page will tell you exactly what to do next.
go92 does not operate a gambling service. We are an independent educational information platform. All gambling takes place on third-party Operator platforms. go92 does not accept deposits or wagers and holds no Pakistani gambling licence.
Tools & Controls
Six Ways to Stay in Control
Licensed Operators typically offer the following responsible gambling tools. go92 recommends activating these before you start playing — not after.
Deposit Limits
Set a maximum amount you can deposit over a daily, weekly or monthly period. Once the limit is reached, the Operator's cashier will block further deposits until the limit period resets. Deposit limits are one of the most effective ways to prevent overspending before it happens.
Loss Limits
A loss limit caps how much you are permitted to lose in a given period — daily, weekly or monthly. When your losses reach the threshold, your account will be restricted from further play until the limit period expires. This tool prevents chasing losses in a single session.
Session Time Limits
Set a maximum duration for each gambling session. When the time limit is reached, the Operator will alert you — and may automatically log you out. Time flies during live PSL betting or a live casino session; a session limit keeps you grounded and aware.
Cooling-Off Periods
A cooling-off period temporarily restricts access to your gambling account for a short, defined period — typically 24 hours to 6 weeks. It gives you space to reflect without committing to a full self-exclusion. Use it when you feel the urge to play impulsively.
Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion permanently or temporarily blocks your access to an Operator's platform. It can be applied for periods ranging from 6 months to permanent closure. During self-exclusion, the Operator must not send you promotional communications. This is the strongest available tool — use it if gambling is causing harm.
Reality Checks
Reality check notifications pop up at regular intervals during a gaming session, showing you how long you have been playing and how much you have wagered or lost. They interrupt the flow of play and prompt you to make a conscious decision about whether to continue.
Step by Step
How to Set Your Limits
Setting responsible gambling limits takes less than two minutes on most Operator platforms. Here is how the process generally works:
Log into Your Account
Go to the Operator's website or mobile app and log in with your registered credentials. Limit-setting tools are typically found in the "My Account", "Settings" or "Responsible Gambling" section of the user dashboard.
Find the Responsible Gambling Section
Licensed Operators are typically required to make responsible gambling tools clearly accessible. Look for headings such as "Player Protection", "Safe Gambling", "Self-Exclusion" or "Limits" within the account settings menu.
Choose Your Limit Type and Amount
Select the type of limit (deposit, loss, session time or wager), choose the period (daily, weekly or monthly) and enter a PKR amount or time duration that reflects your actual disposable entertainment budget — not your aspirational one.
Confirm and Apply
Limit reductions usually take effect immediately. Limit increases typically require a cooling-off period (often 24–72 hours) before they come into force — this prevents impulsive decisions during a losing streak.
Review Periodically
Revisit your limits every few months. If your financial situation has changed or you notice your gambling habits shifting, adjust your limits proactively — do not wait until you are already over-extended.
Warning Signs
Signs That Gambling May Be a Problem
Problem gambling can develop gradually. The earlier you recognise the warning signs, the easier it is to get back in control. Be honest with yourself about any of the following:
Spending more money than you planned, or more than you can comfortably afford to lose.
Gambling to recover money you have already lost — known as "chasing losses".
Thinking about gambling constantly, including during work, family time or the PSL evening session.
Hiding your gambling activity from family members or close friends.
Borrowing money, using bill payment funds or depleting savings to fund gambling sessions.
Feeling anxious, irritable or distressed when not gambling or when trying to stop.
Neglecting responsibilities at work, at home or with family in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or elsewhere due to gambling.
Repeatedly trying to cut back or stop gambling but being unable to do so.
If you recognise three or more of these signs in yourself, please stop playing and seek support. Help is available. See the Support Resources section below for guidance on where to turn.
Quick Self-Check
Is Your Gambling Under Control?
Answer honestly. This is not a medical assessment — it is a starting point for reflection. If you answer "Yes" to two or more questions, we recommend reviewing your gambling habits and visiting our FAQ or contacting your Operator's responsible gambling team.
1. Have you ever spent more money gambling than you originally planned in a single session?
2. Have you ever tried to win back money you lost through more gambling?
3. Have you ever felt the need to hide your gambling activity from family or friends?
4. Has gambling ever caused you to neglect work, family or financial responsibilities?
5. Have you ever borrowed money or used funds intended for bills to gamble?

Strongest Protection
Self-Exclusion: What You Need to Know
Self-exclusion is the most powerful responsible gambling tool available. It is not a sign of weakness — it is a smart, proactive decision that puts you firmly in control of your gambling behaviour.
When you self-exclude from an Operator's platform, your account is closed and you are blocked from re-registering for the duration of the exclusion period. The Operator must also cease all marketing communications to you during this time.
Important: Self-exclusion applies only to the specific Operator where you request it. If you are concerned about gambling across multiple platforms, you should contact each Operator's responsible gambling team individually. Multi-platform exclusion schemes vary by jurisdiction.
Duration Options
Most Operators offer self-exclusion periods from 6 months up to 5 years or permanent. The default minimum on regulated platforms is typically 6 months. You cannot reverse self-exclusion early once it is in place.
Marketing Block
During self-exclusion, licensed Operators must not send you promotional emails, SMS messages or push notifications. If you continue to receive marketing after self-excluding, contact the Operator's compliance team immediately.
Funds During Exclusion
Any funds remaining in your account at the time of self-exclusion can typically be withdrawn. You will need to complete any outstanding KYC (identity verification) requirements before the Operator can process the withdrawal.
After Exclusion Ends
When a self-exclusion period expires, reputable Operators will not automatically reactivate your account. You must proactively request reinstatement and go through a further cooling-off period before access is restored.
